About Ichigoro
Hi, I'm Ichigoro, an IT engineer working for a foreign-affiliated company in Japan.
These days I hand more and more of my development and blog operations to AI agents such as Codex, Claude Code and ChatGPT. This blog records what actually happens when you do that: where agents stop, where permissions go wrong, what breaks, and how I fixed it. I also use AI for day-to-day development at my day job.
I also write about IT careers at foreign-affiliated companies in Japan, developer productivity, and remote work setups.
Career
I started out in IT services, with about three years as a developer, then spent about ten years as an IT engineer at a foreign-affiliated company. I moved to a Japanese manufacturer as a Scrum Master and returned to a foreign-affiliated company after seven months. Today I'm a senior engineer handling development and operations of a product at a foreign-affiliated company.
